For some very simple reason: it deserves a bit of rest.
But get yourself ready for next Friday, September 7th.
We’ll have a chance to see and hear Joe Le Bon - one of the finest Dj’s around.

Hello, Friends!
Last week was a bit rough here.. But we survived and we go further.
So, this Friday, August 24, lets kick with Hello, Garage! series number 3!
The big guest is Smash TV, who is actually a one man now, called Holger Zilske.
Be sure to check his page on Bpitch control site and his myspace page.
As big guests involved, there is entrance fee. 2Ls with the flyer, and 4 without one.
Flyers can be found around the town and printed from here.
The old trick with the e-mail works as well. If you dont know it - you dont know it.
Important Information about August 25. - “Everyone is a Dj” night.
As we found out recently, the big stage of “Space Textures” will be located on
Andrejsala square - just besides the Garage. We pay a deep respect to artists, performing there:
Biosphere, Monolake, Vladislav Delay, and dont want to disturb their show in any ways.
As scheduled, they finish the show at 1 o’clock in the night, so we can start then..
But that also means there is a time for only 3-4 Dj’s. So, those, who applied, hold on,
we gonna e-mail you soon. But we are forced to choose, there’s no room for all.
Thanks for understanding.. we promise to repeat it again.

We are proud to anounce, that FFF is taking part in bringing Showroom 6 to you.
One of the biggest international modern art exhibitions you could see in Riga lately.
You probably already noticed these poster around..
Showroom is an independent, virtual art project, founded by Egija Inzule and Tobias Kaspar.
Basically, Showroom is gathering different artists for site-specific installations in different cities around Europe.
Riga will host Showroom’s 6th (codenamed “Matilde”) installement.
All the action is taking place on Andrejsala. Few months ago selected artists were sent all the materials about Andrejsala, with photos etc. Then they choosed the right spots, made their sketches, and this week construction works began on Andrejsala.
Hopefully we will photoblog about this. And then, on Friday, August 17, it all starts..
Also, Rob and Nienke from Fucking Good Art are here for a while now, they gonna set-up internet radio
and collect material for the new Fucking God Art Riga Issue.
And its all is a part of Rigas Svetki.

There are lot of things to say.. I will start with a story..
Happen to be in Casablanca last Saturday with Baravika, Xenia and others..
We were about to leave, when one guy came in, which looked somehow very familiar to me.
After a bit of processing, my memory gave out the result: i’ve seen that guy playing live in Panorama bar in Berlin few weeks ago, along with Sacha Funke and Andre Kraml. Wooh.. I approached the man, asked if its true.. He said yeah!
The guy turned out to be Alex Geiger (one god knows, what he was doing in Casablanca..). When you running the club and you see good artist, you do everything to get the artist in the club, so i started telling about that “small underground club we’re running”.. Alex didnt let me finish: “Hey, isnt it that club where Pan/Tone was playing?”.. “Listen, here is my e-mail…. ” blah-blah.. we exchanged e-mails and agreed that we should make a gig.. But the thing is: Fame.
The fame of Space:Garage is spreading with the speed of light.
Which is good, but there is also more responsibility needed from us.
Like, in order to keep juices flowing and continue to invite good artists we need
to maintain the place and finance, so it should be open every weekend.
Which is a challenge.. but we gonna try. :)
So we say it: Space:Garage will be open every friday from now on.
Perhaps, sometimes without proper advertisement..
And a small ad: we are looking for a proper sound system rent/buy offer.
In case of rent it should stay in Garage all the time and a monthly fee should be applied.

SPACE:GARAGE THIS WEEK
Starting from this Friday, August 3, Space:Garage will host
a Photo Exhibition by Elena Spasova and Jelena Glazova.
Opening party starts on 03.08 at 18.00 and will feature Jazz ensemble iManTrio.
This evening later will be continued by DJ Maksim Kislovsky from St.Petersbourgh.
More detailed information about this exhibition and opening party will be available here soon.
