For that part of you folks who can’t come to dj new.com Friday night (since after checking his podcasts once more we’re convinced its something worthy indeed) we make preparations for upcoming Saturday campaign on whole lot of the demons within us. For your convenience we decided on free entrance, with one condition though – choose your garments and accessories so that we may take over in this decisive engagement, without fail. Our souls are at stake – next life will be too late.
Besides all the usual stuff like sound and drinks you’ll have monochrome lights, special decorations and videos.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome – dj new.com (comfortnoise, p45), all the way from Switzerland!
A man of exceptional taste, deep understanding of dance music and knowledge of its roots, superb mixing skills and inexhaustible energy, taking into account his busy life as a researcher and a teacher at university… Who at the same time has been managing to deliver monthly 3 hour shows on p45 radio for almost 5 years (featuring various guests and his own mixing as well); additionally, has recorded and put online for free download more than 20 delicious “studio” mixes in various styles (so - in total - 50 free mixes for you!); booked dozens of world DJs and artists for local events in Switzerland; not speaking of countless DJ gigs of course.
Style-wise, new.com’s specialty is dub-inspired music in all its spectre – ranging from classic dub-techno and dub-house to dubstep in all its wide/wild variety and power (check for example July 2009, December 2008 or July 2008 podcasts on p45 radio or Dubdillonmix on comfortnoise.com to feel the diversity and deepness of modern dubstep vibe), and back to the roots dub/reggae both classic and new. Still, other blends of techno and house are not forgotten either.
Lately, new.com caught a UK Funky (UKF) virus which now seems to invigorate even further cross-pollination of straight- and broken-beat continuum of dance music from 125 up to 140 bpm – and this is what he is going to spin on October 30 in Space:Garage. In essence, UKF is just the same old house with afrobeat flavour, massive bass and propulsive percussion, which can range from stripped-down minimal to full vocal party style, in any case – very fun and danceable. Currently this stuff, very fashionable in UK, is almost never encountered on Riga dancefloors, so new.com’s set will be a rare opportunity to get your ass moving in a slightly different but happy & ecstatic way ;) .

Friday, October 23. - Tik Tak radio Night allstars! Ivars Mednis, Ze Ivarzz, DV5 + Dest, Mmz. Massive!
Mmz and Dest are dj’s from wind capital Liepaja. They started listening to electronic music in early 00′. In 2007 started dj-ing at various local events and clubs. In 2009 they became hosts of electronic music radio show “Frekvence” on Kurzemes Radio. Starting now they are producers of weekly show “Loco Motives” on TikTak Radio. Music selection varies from deep house to groovy minimal techno. They both have already proved their dj skills @ Aziet festival this autumn, when they played superb set @ Space:garage.

those are Martin and Daniel, aka el loco and two_em.
They were the first foreign djs ever to perform in Space:Garage.
It was in June 2007. Now is October 2009, which leads me to think that one more cycle (whatever that means) is completed.
Anyway, Friday, we are glad to greet Martin, aka two_em, part of youANDme in Space:garage again.
For the first time we re hosting Pencilhaus, one of the well established dance brands in Riga, for its first birthday.
Also performing: Xenia Kamikaza, Kris Hovel, Ivars Mednis and the whole lot of VJs: Mlada, Popoff, Wickiss, Gus Ostrovsky.
