If you’re in techno for real this Saturday, 12th of December, Space:Garage invites you to inspect and enjoy the neatest details of techno beats and sampling. This party will stand out among others for it will be dedicated to pure, so-called classical techno and its not that common edges and combos with such styles as trance and dubstep.
The party’s headliner will be our Northern neighbour - L-OW from Estonia. He’s the master of creating a very special atmosphere from blending specific rhythmical and sound combinations into a magical synthesis of sounds. His professional sound is recognized by such labels as Lowercase, Z-Audio and its sub-label On The Edge.
The man who stands behind this party, slash, DJ Gesta a.k.a. Gestapo has promised to perform in a more relaxed manner than one might expect (knowing him, it will still be a dope groover). He is about to blend smoothly a proper techno groove with a hint of trance inducing melodic undertones. There will be no focus on some particular scene or geography (although the artists are all European) instead Gesta is paying a tribute to the seemingly direct evolution of the classic techno sound.
The intriguing techno synthesis will be continued by Gesta’s label colleague Rimi. He is known for his ability to select the most uplifting of the classic techno tracks.
So, if you are longing for a sophisticated and quality rave-like atmosphere, the evening is about to make you groove like there’s no tomorrow!

+ with this weekend we also introduce the experimental way of 2-side flyers, as each evening require its own image. But will see, how practical it is and how long our designer will hold it. : )

this two-side flyer is totally unpractical, I’m telling you. The kitchen has to be white, so as to see what’s on the menu :-)
PS: in other words - я в печали :-)
white is minimal or poor. maybe full or additional artwork for the flip and crop of artwork or elements for the front. personally i like flip/flop flyers but usually budget here(in latvia) is kicking designers ass, so we have to design flyer for a weekend or onesided :S
sad story :)
yeah well you don’t get it. it’s all about the alternatives for using the paper with some beautiful artwork on the other side.
hey dev. Yeah, but how do you know where is front and where is back? : ) again, one of the events will be kind of dominating. Other problem that i heard, people get used to one side, so they dont bother to flip the flyer to see whats there.
and actually, with modern digital printing its not that big deal is it one side or both.
Jurga - thats funny, but you got the point. Lets say white side is useful for taking notes. : )
In my pinion the biggest problem is this is the movement to make the system more complicated, not more simple. In the end you have everyhting you had before but in double - more posts, more pictures, more invites on facebook etc. more mess. not good.
i think we will switch back to the old system after next weekend. or will figure out something new.
Maybe someone wants to put a commercial on the other side?
Our flyers are known to be in all good places in Riga. A lot of people collect them and store at home, so your ad will last long..
eh? : )
oh yes, jurga. commercial of course should be very minimal, monochrome, so you have plenty of white on the back. : )
Digital printing is good, but i like more offset and silkscreen (sweet).
About those days and sides. For example use different backgrounds or colored patterns. Friday is white, Saturday is red (color of day off). Everything depends on the concept of layout. Maybe it`s time to change something radically, but minimally ;)
