This time Citycover brings you a present from the north going by the name of Ghetto B-Boyz who’ll be doing a live performance blending rough acid, oldskool house and phat electro beats. The usual ritmikians Gesta and Rimi will fill in the rest by spinning a variety of true techno music so you can jack your ass on and off as desired. The visual side will be provided by the dynamic duo of zee and Mlada who will be showing off some new material as well so it’s all fresh. Quality dancefloor experience guaranteed, don’t miss!

Our main hero is Johan from Turku, Finland however in the beginning Ghetto B-Botz were the boyz indeed — two of them having a noble intention to produce hip-hop. Weirdly enough their output turned out to be nothing like hip-hop but apparently a classic acid house instead. Following a strong debut was a longer break whereafter only Johan found his way back to the band pushing the sound towards harsher and noiser aesthetics Ghetto B-Boyz are now known for. At the same time he continued expanding musically by adapting several alter egos like Casio Yamaha and Superjohan for his house and electro explorations. Whatever the style Johan’s music is raw and groovy consisting of few basic elements put together in a second to none effectiveness. simple and tight, you can’t help but submit to the beat!
